Donald (Don) Gene Cheney 65 of Centralia, passed away September 8th, surrounded by his family. Don was born July 14, 1952 to Charles and Thelma Cheney. An avid outdoorsman Don loved hunting, fishing, tinkering in his shop, working on cars and sharing stories. He retired from Trans Alta as a heavy equipment operator. he was a member of the Operators Union and also worked for Weyerhauser, Hardstrom Const., Breen Const., Dulin, Scherer Trucking and Goebels Septic. Don is survived by his children Charlie, Kyle and Allie Cheney, sisters Sharon (Alan) Ritchey, Pam Orr, Trish (Ralph) Frady, partner Denise Sutton, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his parents Charles and Thelma Cheney and brother-in-law Bob Orr. Graveside service Wednesday, September 20, 11AM at Alpha Cemetery, a Celebration of Life following at the Centralia Moose Lodge 1408 Grand Ave. Centralia.
