Dolores L. Nelson age 88, our loving mother and grandmother, went to be with her "Lord" on Friday January 9, 2015. Dolores is survived by her son, Malcolm L. Nelson, his loving wife Joyce and their 3 children, Kimberly Briske (Scott); Shawnda Nelson & Malcolm T. Nelson. Dolores was blessed with 3 great grandchildren, Shelby Burkhart (Aaron); Cory Nelson & Ian Briske. She is survied by her brother, Delmar Aumiller (Judy) and numerous nieces & nephews. Dolores loved knitting and found great joy in making hand crocheted doilies and table cloths for wedding and anniversary gifts. Last Christmas she knitted Mal, Scott, Travis, Aaron, Cory & Ian "Converse" tennis slippers. Joyce, Kim, Shawnda & Shelby all got beautiful Scarves. Knitting for Dolores was a way of embedding her creations with emotions and memories, adding to the richness of the stories behind those handmade gifts, with all the careful time spent crafting; and the victory of finishing her hand-knitted items for others to enjoy. Any family members, friends or church members that were expecting a baby received a hand made baby afghan from Dolores. She was a proud member of Christ Community Church, and loved her church family.
