Deanna Lee
Brand
January 17, 1964 – April 9, 2026
Deanna Lee Brand (née Sparks), known by many as "Deedle," passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 62, at her home in Centralia, Washington, at the side of her significant other.
Born on January 17, 1964, in Madera, California, Deanna grew up in Madera before moving around as an adult. In 1999, she settled in the Aberdeen, Washington area with her daughter, where she lived for most of the years that followed.
Deanna is survived by her significant other, Joseph Schiffman; her daughter, Jaclyn Dawson; her son, Daniel Juarez; and her six beloved grandchildren: Lucia Juarez, Jason Dawson, Israel Dawson, Isabella Juarez, Archimedes Dawson, and Christopher Juarez.
She had not worked outside the home in recent years due to ongoing medical issues and was on disability. Despite her health challenges, she continued to find joy in simple pleasures-reading, doing crafts, working outdoors, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Deanna was known for being complicated and stubborn at times, but she loved to laugh and give people a hard time-especially her son-in-law.
Deanna was a fighter who defied the odds many times. She faced serious health battles, including renal failure and breast cancer, and outlived expectations again and again.
Deanna will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her laughter, her stubborn spirit, and her fierce love for those closest to her.
