Dallas Alanda Daarud Sr., passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 in Centralia, Wash. He was born Nov. 28, 1944 in Bismark, N.D., to Elmer and Mable Daarud. Dallas moved to Washington with his parents as a child. It was in Kirkland where he met his wife, Patricia, and together they raised five children in Rochester. He was very active in every aspect of his children's lives as they were growing up. And, any additional stray the kids would bring in. He enjoyed working on cars, panning for gold, seeing ghost towns and traveling.
Dallas is survived by his five children, Mike and Roxanne Daarud of Durham, Calif., Pamela Daarud of Lacey, Wash., Dallas and Ruth Daarud of Centralia, Wash., Matthew Daarud Sr. of Rochester, Wash., and Melissa and Brian SanSouci of Centralia, Wash. He has 13 grandchildren, Michael, Kimmy, Dallas III, Amanda, Alex, Matthew Jr., Chris, Ryan, Krystin, Becca, Shawna, Tiffany, Bryce and several great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
He was full of life and loved a good party, therefore we are having a celebration of life on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 5:00 p.m., at 2141 Salzer Valley Rd., Centralia WA 98531 where all friends, family and acquaintances are invited to attend, followed by a potluck party.
