Obituary

Bea May Fisher passed away June 15, 2013 at The Vintage in Chehalis, Wash. Bea was born Dec. 26, 1934 to Milton and Bessie Turman in Centralia, Wash. She lived nearly all of her years in Centralia. Bea loved her morning visits with her friends at The Vintage. She delighted in family-get-togethers and visits. Over her lifetime she had a love of art and enjoyed painting, sculpturing and charcoal renderings. Her beloved dog Dee Dee was her daily companion and joy and family still comment that Dee Dee surely added quality days to her life. In her time she had enjoyed round dancing, camping with family, cross country skiing, gardening and holiday family gatherings. Her home was always the hub of family functions and celebrations. She was surrounded by her family and friends in her final weeks as she seemingly fought off a debilitating illness. Her departure was sudden and unexpected and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Bea is survived by her children and their spouses: daughters, Deborah and Alan Leps of Port Orchard, Jackie and Paul Johnson of Centralia, her son and his spouse, David and Mary King of Centralia and her youngest son, Brian King of Seattle. She is also survived by her sister and her spouse, Judy and Bill Vertz of Centralia and brother, Duane Turman of Lacey. She had six grandchildren: Jason and Jeremy Bailey, Tara Watson, Adam McIntire, Jennifer Cross and Rachel King as well as numerous nieces and nephews, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dolores O'Conner and Geraldine Zard and her beloved son, Michael Gilligan. Bea was a devout Christian, devoting her hours and days to her faith and seeking comfort in scripture and prayer. Pastor Larry Plumley and his wife Norma of The Vintage Chapel became Bea's closest most cherished friends and Christian mentors. Please join Larry and Norma as they lead our family's celebration of Bea's life at The Chehalis Vintage Inn community room on June 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Bea's Pastor L.A. Plumley of The Vintage Chapel, 1101 S. Scheuber Rd., Centralia, WA 98531.
