Betty Jane Cothren, 77, of Centralia, passed away on, Friday August 20, 2021 at Peacehealth St. John's Medical Center. She was born on January 12, 1944 to James and Jessie (DoAne) Byers in Kellogg, ID. In November 1958, she married the love of her life Gerald W. Cothren. Betty and Gerald had three children together. She loved to travel, fish, crochet, play cards, shop, and dance in her free time. Betty especially loved spending time with friends and family at events. Betty loved the Lord with all of her heart, she studied the Bible faithfully everyday. She showed everyone the way by example as well as the word. She attended church regularly. Betty is survived by her son, Jerry W Cothren; daughter, Dean Mullins; 7 grandchildren, Michael Garcia, Charles Kent, Chris Kent, Kenny Kent, Andy Kent, Vicky Kent, and Teresa Cothren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald W Cothren; father, James L Byers; mother, Jessie Florance Byers; her daughter, Betty Jean Cothren; and her sisters, Dorothy Schmitt, Buella Hamilton, and Stella Byers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 10am, at the Calvary Assembly of God, 302 E Main St., Centralia, WA, 98531, followed by a graveside service at Napavine Cemetery.
