Arthur Ernest Pagel, 73, of Centralia, Wash., passed away Monday, December 19th, at his home. Arthur was born August 24, 1949, in Shelton, Wash., to Bruce and Lorraine (Ernest) Pagel. Arthur married his sweetheart, Esther R. Larson on March 28th, 1975, following a blind date set up by their respective coworkers at the Chehalis and Centralia Safeway stores. The couple were married 47 years. Arthur grew up loving the outdoors, spending much of his time in the forest, in the mountains, or relaxing by the ocean. He enjoyed fishing, especially for salmon, out of Westport. He had an appreciation for fine foods and enjoyed nothing more than sharing a delicious meal with his family. He always took joy in the conversations and laughter around the table. Arthur will live on in the memory of his loved ones: his wife, Esther; children, Erin Rachelle Pagel of Seattle, Tressa Elizabeth Pagel of Centralia, Seth Elijah and his wife Rachel (Forsythe) Pagel of Olympia; and granddaughter, Saoirse Lorraine Pagel of Seattle. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Loren Bruce Pagel.
