Obituary

Anita (Fabry) Fagernes, 96, was born in Galvin, WA on May 17, 1917 to William & Florence (Mattson) Fabry. Anita graduated from Centralia High School in 1935. She passed away peacefully on April 12, 2014 in Centralia, WA. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and lived life to the fullest. On November 21, 1939 Anita married Vking Fagernes and they made their home in Olympia. In the early 1940's they moved to Anacortes where the family lived until 1966 and then moved back to Centralia. She was a member of the Chehalis Eagles Auxillary, at 94 she still enjoyed dancing at the Senior Center. She loved gardening, cooking, sewing, visiting with friends, reality shows, and most of all her family. She worked at Interchecks and several women's apparel stores in Centralia. Anita leaves behind her daughter, Annette (Bill) Eaton of Centralia, grandsons Mike (Meghan) Eaton of Chehalis, Marc Eaton of Ripon, WI, great-grandchildren Simona Eaton and Ryder Walker, sister Jeannette Hollender and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Viking in 1968, brother William Fabry, sisters Emma Snelson and Connie Dye. A gathering to celebrate Anita's life will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 2:00 p.m. at Ford's Prairie Grange.
