On Friday afternoon, August 8th, 2025, Jesus took our dear sweet mother to her final home. Amy Courtney pleasantly served many people during her 92 years, seldom complaining although her life was not easy.
Amy was born May 12, 1933, in Sedan, Kansas to Ted and Beulah Burton, with 6 siblings. They moved to Idaho, then California, eventually settling in Onalaska, Washington.
April 23, 1950, Amy married John Courtney. She became a widow in 2002. She is survived by their 4 children; Marvin Courtney of Onalaska, Melvin Courtney (Barb) of Federal Way, Larry Courtney of Tumwater and Vickie Albert (Mark) of East Helena, Montana. Amy adored her grandchildren; Devin Albert (Isis), Heather Courtney Pinkerton (Jeff), Erin Jones (Chris), Drew Courtney (Julie), Jesse Courtney (Estela), Ian Courtney and great-grandchildren; Collin Foister, Courtney Pinkerton and Nick Courtney. Amy also had one great-great-grandchild, Anna Sophia Romines Foister.
Psalm 34 was Amy's favorite Scripture. We were all blessed to have Amy in our lives.
