She was born on October 31st, 1933 at St. Helens Hospital in Chehalis, Wash. to Ralph W. and Thelma E. Young. She spent most of her life growing up on the family farm just outside of Chehalis and attended school in Adna Wash. where she graduated valedictorian. On February 14th, 1952 she married her valentine and high school sweetheart Louis and recently celebrated their 64th anniversary.

She forged business and personal relationships with countless colleagues and customers, many of whom remain friends to this day. Vera was a strong business woman, and was proud of her career at the bank.

She and Louis loved to travel in their motor home and for 10 years spent their winter months as “snowbirds” in Yuma, Needles, Parker and Havasu City. They celebrated their 50th anniversary with a cruise to Alaska’s inside passage on the Pacific Princess - the original Love Boat. She also enjoyed spending time at elk camp and playing cards with the pinochle club girls.

Vera was a dedicated wife, mother, “gramma”, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many.

A Celebration-of-Life and reflection will take place at the Sandrini Sport Complex on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at 1:00 pm. This will be followed by a catered luncheon and refreshments. Address is 100 Robin Road East in Adna, WA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Adna Scholarship Fund in the name of the Ciolli Family or Seattle Children’s Guild or the charity of your choice.
