Alan Kiser Obituary

Alan James Kiser passed away at home surrounded by family on July 29, 2019 from COPD.  He was born on September 24, 1952 at Madigan Hospital, Ft. Lewis, WA to Dale and Jean Kiser.  He was a lifetime resident of Centralia, WA.

               Alan graduated from Centralia High School in 1971 and Centralia College in 1973.  He retired from NC Machinery as a warehouseman. 

               He was a Boy Scout and an Explorer Scout, earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

               Alan loved the Seattle Seahawks.  He had season tickets for many years when they played at the Kingdome.  He was a member of the Capitol City SeaHawkers.  He also was a member of the Rough Riders Jeep Club. He loved to fish and hunt.  He was a member of the American Legion, spending many afternoons there playing cards. 

               Alan loved to travel.  He visited Australia, New Zealand, Italy, England, Ireland and Scotland plus much of the United States.  He loved going to Reno and Laughlin.  He loved playing slot machines.  He went on numerous cruises.

               Alan loved his family and was always very generous toward his nieces.

               Alan was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his brother Greg and Marilyn Kiser and his sister Tari and Chris Young. 

               The family would like to thank Assured Hospice nurses Elaine and Amber for their care of Alan.  The family would especially like to thank Alan’s friend Ron Avery for his friendship and care toward Alan. 

               There will be a graveside service on August 24th at 2 P.M. at Mountain View Cemetery, Centralia, WA.
