Larry Walter Mills

Larry passed away Nov. 30th, 2020 at Highline Hospital in Des Moines, Wash. He was born on July 29th, 1937 at Centralia General Hospital to Walter E and LaNora Mills. He attended school in Rochester, Wash. and graduated in 1955. He then went to Puget Sound College and received his diploma in education. He taught at University Place Elementary School in Tacoma, Wash.

Larry spent countless hours researching family history in his free time. His real passion was classic Studebaker Automobiles. He was a member of the Tacoma Studebaker Club. He loved to drive his old Studes. He owned nine of them.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Larry is survived by cousins, Daryl Yeager and Delbert (Dorothy) Peterson, and many close friends including, Greg Isaacson, Chuck Mullins, and Elizabeth Richmond.

An inurnment service will be held Jan. 8th, 2021 at 1pm at Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester, Wash. Arrangements are under the care of Newell Hoerling’s Mortuary.

Donations can be made in Larry’s honor to the Rochester High School.
