Michael Leon Moen
2/8/1945- 4/7/18
Mike was born to Ilene and Frank Moen in Anacortes, WA, on February 8, 1945, and passed away at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA, on April 7, 2018, at the age of 73.
He grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Lake Washington High School in 1963. He got married in 1970 to Erma Hamilton, and they had two children; Wayne and Regina. He moved his family to Centralia, WA, in 1982, where he lived the rest of his life.
Mike began working in the automotive repair field and owned an auto repair shop. He also owned an electronic repair shop for many years. He always loved spending his free time repairing electronics, even long after he retired, and this had always remained a hobby of his.
Mike loved to sing and write music. Music was his passion. His biggest joy was his children and grandchildren. He often talked about them, and how proud he was of each one.
He is survived by his former wife and friend Erma Hamilton of Centralia, son Wayne Moen (Kelsie) of Rochester, daughter Regina Hamblin of Centralia, along with one granddaughter Madison, and seven grandsons’: Michael, Wayne, Derrick, George, Blake, Hudson, and Hunter. Also surviving are two sister in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding Mike in death were his parents Ilene and Frank Moen.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Rochester Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 11:00am, followed by a Graveside Service at the Grand Mound Cemetery.
